After picking up tour participants on our private bus, we make our way to our first stop of the day, Stanley Park, a must-see for any visitor to Vancouver. Stanley Park is one of the largest urban parks in the world and is home to over half a million trees. We begin our cycle along the famous Vancouver Seawall, the worlds longest uninterrupted waterfront path. In the park, we stop at various attractions including the Totem Poles, English Bay, Siwash Rock and an old growth forest. The seawall offers spectacular panoramic views of the North Shore, Lions Gate Bridge and Vancouver Island. We will take a short break in English Bay where we can enjoy a local ice cream sandwich and visit the "A-Maze-ing Laughter" bronze statues, an exhibit which portrays the artist Yue Minjun's own image "in a state of hysterical laughter". Following our break in English Bay, we continue along the seawall over the Burrard street bridge to our next stop, Granville Island. Granville Island is renowned for it's lively public market, which offers a spectacular array of local produce, seafood and crafts. Our visit to the island allows participants some free time to explore the area, shop for souvenirs or sample some of the local cuisine. From Granville Island we jump on board one of the colourful false creek ferries and sail towards Olympic village, the home to the 2010 Winter Olympians. We continue our bike ride, passing by Science world and making our way into China town to visit Dr. Sun Yat-Sen classical Chinese garden. From the garden we cycle to Vancouver's oldest neighbourhood Gastown, founded by "Gassy Jack" in 1867. Gastown's rich history is evident through the cobble stone streets, Victorian architecture and restored steam clock. To complete our adventure we cycle along the northern section of the seawall, passing through Canada Place and Coal Harbour en route to Stanley Park.
